Vestas Service Field Supervisor is an immediate manager for a group of around 20-25 service technicians and responsible for carrying out the company strategy in this area.

Responsibilities
Manage the most efficient execution of plans created within Service operations. Setting operational expectations and creating effective routines for technicians, following up performance by assuring safety, quality and timeliness of work and reporting conducted by technicians and constantly looking for ways to optimize and improve on safety, quality and cost
Be responsible for hiring of and performance discussions with technicians
Collaborate and communicate with other stakeholders in Service Sweden/Nordic and externally as well as other internal departments, such as other Team leaders in field, planning, lean, admin, projects, PFO, technical support, Special Task, and QSE functions

The Vestas Northern Central Europe (NCE) business unit is responsible for the Sales, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout the NCE region. As an Area Supervisor within the crucial Service Function, you will be the immediate manager for a group of 3-5 Team Leaders in the North region of Sweden. You will lead our front-line operations team, working on some of the most high-profile onshore wind farms within the Swedish renewables industry.
In addition, you will be working with multiple departments across Vestas globally and support our colleagues and customers in making Vestas operations teams perform at the highest level. This role is vital in cultivating the environment in Sweden North by offering leadership, support and direction to the local Field Supervisors and technicians that form your wider team. You will report directly to the Area Manager of Sweden North and working closely with the customer service team and internal planning functions to accomplish your objectives and KPIs.

The role is responsible for supervising the performance and for carrying out the company strategy in the North Area. Preparing for the future, ensuring performance and a professional mindset in the team today will be required to meet your goals in this role.
You will guide your organization and changes in the area to improve safety, financial results and employee and customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating both operational and management aspects cross-functionally to improve both customer and employee experience
Responsible for carrying out the company strategy in the North Area by setting operational goals for the operational units under your management, assuring quality of reporting and constantly looking for ways to optimize safety, quality and cost
Supervising and building a motivated and successful team of Field Supervisors in close collaboration with the Area Manager and the Area Supervisor in North Sweden

Qualifications

The Field Supervisor has the operational responsibility for their area which include performance and budget targets. Responsibility
You will be responsible for supporting our service organization in meeting their customer requirements in northern Sweden. Communication, adaptation and awareness of safety are key words for the role.
The service is office-based, but also includes field activities (~50%) to our facilities and warehouses. The role involves climbing the turbines which is why we see that you should not have problems with heights. In addition, your data will include:
Provide expertise and support on HSE-related matters from our service organization
Attend customer meetings regarding HSE issues
Create HSE documentation for Swedish serviceites
Implementation of local legal requirements and strategies
Follow-up of subcontractors, including making risk assessments of the work
Provide expertise and support in incident investigations as well as root cause analysis


Qualifications

Responsibilities


Special Task is responsible for the latest technology and the new initiatives in service to build and share the competence within Service. We have in addition to our regular tasks in the North and West region also the responsibility to support our Special Task colleagues elsewhere in the NCE region.
Adhering to Vestas HSE (Health Safety Environment) policies and processes always, you will have an important role together with the special task colleagues in delivering services and solutions that fulfils our customers' expectations.
Your primarily tasks will be:
Work with replacement and reparations of main components, ensuring that Vesta’s procedures and instructions are followed, especially in relation to safety rules and policies
Continuously give input and ideas to improvements on technical documentation, work instructions and certification processes
Perform special tasks (up-tower repairs, main component replacements, upgrades, field tests etc.) and working with crane teams and subcontractors


Qualifications
Highest level of safety awareness
Qualified mechanical or machinery experience, such as heavy machinery, marine engineer, tool operator, car-, agricultural- or truck mechanics
Fluency in English, written and spoken
Computer literacy included structured reporting and data discipline

The Service Department is responsible for the service and maintenance of the wind farms within Scandinavia. Vestas Northern and Central Europe strive to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, not only in modern energy but also in employee and customer satisfaction. As a Traveling Service Technician, you will be doing service and maintenance of the wind turbines all over Sweden, and also other Nordic countries. Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, you hold an important role as the frontline of our service agreements and taking care of the customers’ turbines. The position requires accuracy and professionalism as the quality and personal safety of our service work is highly considered. To succeed in this role, we believe you possess good knowledge of electricity and mechanics as well as being service-minded.
Your responsibilities will be:
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on sites all over Sweden, and other Nordic countries
Service and maintenance according to the agreement, as well as carrying out a diversity of check-ups, repairs and replacement activities of turbine components
Friction-less operation of our turbines and use of our systems like condition monitoring and remote control
Contact with customers regarding completed and upcoming service and repairs
Responsibility of the service vehicle, warehouse and order of material, tools and spare parts
Daily reporting in our ERP-system, SAP



Qualifications
Practical experience within electricity
Experience within mechanics or hydraulics is an advantage
Basic English skills, written and verbal
Good IT skills, as you will be reporting and communicating through various systems
Driving license

The service department of Vestas Sweden is responsible for the service and maintenance of primarily wind turbines in Sweden. As a Senior Team Lead in North Sweden, you are responsible for supervising the performance and reporting for your area.
